Caring for the environment is everyone’s responsibility. The Plant-A-Tree Programme (PAT) is a platform where organisations and individuals can actively participate in the greening of our City in Nature (opens in new tab).
Every tree you plant will contribute to the OneMillionTrees movement (opens in new tab)to plant 1 million more trees across Singapore till 2030
Why plant trees?
Trees, like any living organism, will grow old and become weak. To sustain our lush greenery, we need to constantly plant new trees.

Trees beautify our environment but they also remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, increase biodiversity in our environment, prevent soil erosion, as well as provide shade and lower the atmospheric temperature. | Planting trees help secure the future of our environment for the generations to come. | Studies show that people living amongst greenery are measurably healthier and build better family relationships. How to Plant-A-Tree
You can PAT with us as individuals, smaller groups or private groups. A donation of S$300 supports the planting of one tree.
Your valuable donation enables you to:
Plant-A-Tree in one of NParks-managed green spaces.
Support vital community and capacity building initiatives – from education and research to outreach programmes.
Strengthen people's connection with nature, advancing our City in Nature vision under the Singapore Green Plan 2030.
Each donation qualifies for a 2.5 times tax deduction, provided you submit a valid NRIC/FIN number or local UEN/Business Registration Number within 5 working days of making your donation. We will file your donation details directly with IRAS, and the deduction will be automatically reflected in your tax assessment the following year.
As part of our environmental commitment since 2018, we no longer issue physical receipts. However, if you would like an e-receipt, please email your request to garden_city_fund@nparks.gov.sg.
Things to note:
Dress appropriately for this outdoor activity i.e. wear long-sleeved tops, long pants, covered shoes and sun/UV protection gear.
For your own safety, participants not wearing appropriate footwear (i.e. covered shoes) may not be allowed to carry out the tree planting.
If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event.
Due to the strenuous nature of this activity, participants who have back problems or are pregnant are advised not to participate.

The public planting schedule is updated monthly. Please check the schedule about one month before your preferred planting month for available dates. Thank you for your support!
Private/Exclusive planting sessions
Plant 50 or more trees and enjoy a private, exclusive planting session just for you and your group. A donation of $15,000 covers a session of 50 trees, with additional sessions of 50 trees available on separate dates, times, and locations.
We offer these sessions on a first-come, first-served basis, upon receipt of the donation. We recommend arranging private planting sessions at least 3 months in advance. To start, please:

Share your valid UEN/NRIC and proof of donation
Provide 3 preferred planting dates within the same month
We will confirm receipt of your donation and request any additional information required for the planting session.
Approximately 7 weeks before the planting session, we will email you again to share:

Date and time
Once a planting date and location has been secured they cannot be changed or rescheduled.
As the programme is on a first-come first-serve basis, we will not be able to provide information on sites or dates before the donation has been made.
There will be no plantings available 15 working days before and after the Lunar New Year period

Make a general donation to the Plant-A-Tree programme
We welcome general donations of any amounts and also donors that do not want to take part in the planting. Simply indicate “General PAT donation” when making your donation through any of the below methods below. The total donations will be collated annually at the end of the year and the equivalent number of trees for the collective donation will be planted by NParks in the following year.
